Building a website takes skill, stamina, creativity, patience… It takes a special team of designers and innovators to understand your brand’s voice, to work with a global team, and to provide grace and encouragement during the process of “approval by committee”.
FreshySites is full of super stars. Ben Giordano is the founder and launched his company in 2011. We at Great Shape! Inc. are SO BLESSED we found FreshySites.
Great Shape! Inc. started serving people in Jamaica in 1988 and the original logo was sketched on a slip of paper, while strategizing in the sand. That sketch was scanned in and used as “branding” for decades. There is always a lot of heart wrapped around original branding and it proved quite a process to begin re-branding around 2012. Once we’d designed branding that spoke our message, we had the arduous task of building a new website. In the early years, volunteers took on these projects, but when you need their superpowers to serve 40,000 people each year, you’d better focus your energy intentionally. The website also had to be built on a platform that is user-friendly, so that our own team can update information and keep the site alive. We needed the company (at least our liaison) to “speak our language” and to guide us through the process. We worked our way through a couple of designers, then several bids, and then the gift of a referral to FreshySites.
We LOVE our website. We love how they listened to our needs and assessed all our content, and created the visual elements and layouts that make sense. We want you, dear reader, to meet our dear friends at FreshySites…

How do you define your company?
FreshySites – Website Design is a fully in-house digital design and web development agency focused on WordPress and WooCommerce. We pride ourselves on best-in-industry customer service and have worked on over 900 projects since our launch in 2011.
Why were you drawn to the Freshy culture and projects?
It’s the kind of company I’ve always wanted to be a part of. I try to think “what kind of company would I want to work for”, and then my goal is to create that company.
Why is Freshy so special?
It’s something everyone needs, but very few companies are providing well. I think we are filling a much-needed space in the market.
Why is it important for your team to collaborate w/ agencies like Great Shape! Inc.?
We love working with agencies and partners that share our core values and look at their customers the same way that we look at ours. Many times agencies can bring us to relationships that we might not otherwise have access to, which is really a win-win.
Why is it extra delightful to design for innovative and/or humanitarian clients?
We love giving back to the community that has supported us through these last five or so years.
How would you describe the experience of working with Great Shape! Inc?
