This fall, NPR Correspondent Judith Ritter is expected to cover Great Shape! Inc’s projects in Jamaica! Judith will report for National Public Radio and World Vision Radio. She will cover the set-up of clinics for 1000 Smiles, chat about the partnership with Sandals Foundation, report on the actual dental work, plus a few other Jamaican features.
Judith has been in communication with Great Shape! for nearly two years. Last year, Great Shape! guided her towards covering the humanitarian works of Sandals Resorts International in Negril, Jamaica. You can hear Judith’s story here.
All Sandals Hotels and Resorts are required to adopt two community projects. But as Judith explained, the Sandals Whitehouse European Village Resort takes their commitment even further.
Adam Stewart, CEO of Sandals International, explained to Judith why Sandals holds such a unique commitment to their communities: “We just want to do it because it’s good business to do the right thing.”
Judith is an award-winning independent journalist. She travels throughout the world covering travel, science and technology, business, entertainment and international development. Check out Judith’s website to hear some of her work.
Sandals has been a longtime partner with Great Shape! Together they welcome Judith and her story-telling abilities to Jamaica! And you know how news works… so keep your fingers crossed that Judith doesn’t have to head off somewhere else in the world when she’s supposed to be with Great Shape! Inc.
