Marko Photinos of Ashland, OR just released his debut album, “All the Love That I Have Found.” There are 13 original tracks on the album featuring live musicians from Reggae Universal Studios outside of Eugene, OR. This album took four years to produce, but Marko took even longer to find his passion for Reggae music.
His parents first introduced Marko to Reggae music. However, during high school he spent three years drumming for a punk band. After high school, Marko focused his time on DJ’ing across the West Coast and in Greece. He encountered Reggae music a few more times on his journey, but it wasn’t until he spent a month in Ocho Rios, Jamaica with Great Shape! Inc. that he knew he “belonged to the music.”
This year, Marko will lead the 2009 music team for Great Shape! Inc.’s SuperKids program in November. He will help improve literacy through the power of music; Reggae and the roots of Reggae.
The songs on his new album are full of all Great Shape! stands for: love, kindness, passion for others, gratitude, and the “charm and color that surround everyday events.” In addition to volunteering and running the music team this year in Jamaica, Marko will graciously donate all proceeds from October’s CD sales to Great Shape!
