Ashland, OR (6/25/11) Healthcare seems complicated these days with conflicting information and seemingly no money to pay for it.  Thankfully, Great Shape! Inc has a plan, has a budget and already has a decade of success under its proverbial belt providing dental, vision and literacy programs through a dedicated volunteer base.  And, as if that isn’t enough, they are overachievers and can tout that 93% of every dollar raised directly goes to programming. 

Seriously?  Seriously.  This “little humanitarian group that could and does” holds only one fundraiser per year, and it must support its three programs.  You can read all about it at http://www.gsjamaica.org/ and see their outstanding record of providing services to rural Jamaican communities.

This event, like their goals, sets the bar high.  Not only is it the fundraiser for the non-profit, it also provides a family reunion of sorts for the volunteers, board and supporters to connect.  This year’s fundraiser, Jamaican Yard Party themed, offers scrumptious food, jams provided by DJ Marko and a live auction by none other than Byron Millard, the 2010 Oregon Reserve Grand Champion Auctioneer.

Proceeds from this phenomenal event go to support a group of people who know how to get things done in a big way.  For the price of admission you get food, you get to dance the night away, you get to bid on some really cool stuff and you will save the world while you’re at it.

If you can’t make it Ashland to attend the event, consider a donation.  You won’t get a better return on your money.
