Jamaican Operations Just got a Whole Lot Smoother!

Big up to Dr. Myron Henrickson, Joe Sterling and Dr. Joyce Royal Graham for their help in securing the “Myron-mobile”

Great Shape! Inc. recently acquired a new Nissan van that will cut the annual rental budget and dramatically improve Jamaican operations.

The new "Myron-mobile"

               The new “Myron-mobile”

The 2007 air conditioned  “panel van,” as it is called in Jamaica, will allow Great Shape! to, “carry six people and a whole heap of STUFF” according to Executive Director Papa Joe Wright. The Myron-mobile will be used to move books, computers, shoes, volunteers, and equipment on each of Great Shape! Inc.’s four major projects.

The Mryon-mobile joins its fraternal twin “The Arnce” in the Great Shape! motor pool. The Myron-mobile and The Arnce are nearly identical in every way; make, model, year and even Champagne color! (A quite serendipitous occurrence if you ask Papa Joe.)

“It [The Myron-Mobile] will give Great Shape! a great amount of flexibility and control over moving things and people. It will empower us to entertain new initiatives.” – Papa Joe

On behalf of the entire Great Shape! family, we wish to extend a huge thank you to Dr. Myron and Joe for their unwavering support, and their permission to reallocate funds to obtain the Myron-mobile. Thank you Dr. Joyce for taking the day off and helping Papa Joe navigate the heat and heart of Kingston to purchase, insure and license the new van!

And as always, Big Up to our dedicated and hard working rockstar volunteers! You all do so much in making everything Great Shape! stands for a reality

One Love and keep Lettin’ it Shine!
