Meet Your New Great Shape! Interns!

October 5, 2010greatshapeincUncategorized

Great Shape! Inc. welcomes three new interns to the family…

Alexandra, more commonly known as Alex, is a senior at Gonzaga University with a major in Public Relations and a double minor in Promotion and Sociology. When she’s not working with Great Shape! she is the co-president of the student run Public Relations firm on campus through PRSSA. Being from Seattle, WA she loves everything that has to do with rain – Walking in it without an umbrella, playing in it with her golden retriever Scout, listening to it with a cup of coffee inside and of course the smell. An interesting fact, Alex’s entire immediate family has a first name that starts with the letter S, except her. Alex is working with the SuperKids project this year, “I can’t wait to hear all the stories from the students!”

Tika is a senior at Eastern Washington University with a major in Business Marketing and a minor in Communications. She hails from Yakima, which she lovingly refers to as “the Palm Springs of Washington”. She is collaborating on the iCare program and distributing a lot of information about all the amazing things the clinic accomplished this year. Her biggest hobby this year is her involvement in the Greek System at Eastern. She is a proud member of Gamma Phi Beta and has gained a lot of leadership skills through the organization. A very interesting fact about Tika is that she has no middle name. She guesses that “my parents thought Tika was weird enough”.

Kristen is a junior at Whitworth University majoring in communications and Spanish. Originally from Olympia, WA, she enjoys life in Spokane as a student and as a Great Shape! intern partnering on the 1000 Smiles project. She loves photography, reading, and traveling. Kristen has spent time in Costa Rica and Tanzania in the past. Her next big adventure will take her on an abroad study program in Argentina next spring, and “I certainly hope to visit Jamaica someday too!”

Great Shape! Inc. is so grateful for the bright minds and energy of our interns. Welcome girls!
