Hi! My name is Jamee Mason , and I’m the newest intern in the Let It Shine and Great Shape! family. For the next few months I get the opportunity to work with Great Shape! Inc. through fundraising, public relations and social media.

I am from a small town, Casa Grande, Arizona and now live in the great city of Spokane, Washington. I am a senior at Gonzaga University, earning my bachelor’s degree in public relations with minors in both promotions and sports management. I love getting to know people and hearing their stories, backgrounds and experiences.  Finding the commonalities and connections between people are a few of my favorite things. The world is a lot smaller than we tend to make it out to be.

In the past, I have worked as an intern at an elite soccer academy in Arizona, Grande Sports World, and I am currently a waitress at a local restaurant in Spokane. I love to travel! This past spring I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy where I got to meet individuals from all over. I am excited to announce that I will be joining the volunteers of Great Shape! in Jamaica this November! I am beyond thrilled for the opportunity to travel once again but more importantly, I am looking forward to serving the wonderful people of Jamaica. Great Shape! is a fantastic organization and I could not be happier to be a part of what they do both behind the scenes and in person.

Outside of school and work I have many passions. I love athletics and have been a member of many sports teams ranging from volleyball to rowing. A girl from the warm weather of Arizona, I love living in the Northwest and am fascinated by the season of fall. My favorite part of the year is when the leaves change color. I’m always on the lookout for a new adventure and the chance to learn something new.  I’ve canyon jumped from 300 feet in the Swiss Alps and I can’t wait to see what other adventures I jump into, starting with this opportunity with Let It Shine and Great Shape!
