Newest Great Shape! Family Member!

Hey Everybody! My name is John Pierce Donley but I go by Pierce. I am the newest intern in the Great Shape! and Let It Shine family. My main focus this summer will be to further the success of Great Shape! through fundraising events, public relations and social media. I can’t wait to get started and look forward to a great summer.

I am originally from a small town called Montrose in the southwestern region of Colorado, and I just finished my junior year at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. I plan to graduate in May of next year with a major in public relations and a minor in sociology.

After a series of major changes, I found my way to public relations through my love of stories. Regardless of what my major was at any point in time, my favorite part of class was always listening to the professors’ stories. When I realized public relations was all about story telling, I was hooked. Now, I am beyond excited to to tell the stories of the Great Shape! family as well as those we serve in Jamaica.

Throughout my life, I have always had a passion for meaningful work and causes. Great Shape! is without a doubt one such cause. I am so blessed that my path has led me here, and that I get to spend an entire summer doing great work with great people for a great cause.

As for me, I am a mountain man at heart. I have an insatiable appetite for any and all things mountain related. This includes camping, mountain biking and above all skiing. I am excited for the opportunity to grow through and with this incredible organization over the course of the summer!
