Our dental education team in Negril is done for another year. We have seen or talked to hundreds of children this week. The clinics are shutting down and packing up. Tonight is our farewell dinner and then volunteers will head back to their regular lives over the weekend. Many of them have been touched by what they have seen and experienced. There have been many beautiful unexpected moments – the dental staff and the children have impacted each other equally as much during the course of the project. It has been a very fulfilling two weeks. I hope that those of you who are reading this decide you would like to get involved with Great Shape! Inc. Thanks to Sandals Resorts International, the Let It Shine Team, Lucinda Kay, Joe Wright and Great Shape! for allowing me and the other volunteers to have the chance to help so many people.
