Hi! My name is Dominique Scott, you may call me Dom, and I am the most recent intern addition to Let It Shine Media, focusing primarily on the amazing Great Shape! Inc. Starting this summer I will be working with the Let It Shine team to help continue the success of Great Shape! through fundraising events, public relations and social media.

I am from Kirkland, Washington, and I’m currently wrapping up my junior year at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington. Next spring I’ll be graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Political Science. I have a love for writing, and sharing my ideas, but more importantly the ideas of others. Story telling is my passion, which is why I chose the path of public relations, and I’m so excited to start a journey with Great Shape! to share the stories of all our volunteers and the wonderful people we serve in Jamaica.

Over the years I’ve worked as an intern and program assistant at the Spokane YWCA and I’ve had my share of jobs in the restaurant industry. In the Fall of 2013 I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy, where I had a life-changing experience that reinvigorated my obsession for travel; I cannot wait to plan my next adventure. (Let’s hope it’s Jamaica!)

I am left-handed, love the color green and pink tulips, have an irrational fear of butterflies and have cliff dived off of the Amalfi Coast. I hope to bring a host of fresh ideas and excitement to my team at Let It Shine and am so thankful for this incredible opportunity!
