Kate Wasserman, Volunteer Director of Operations, is currently in Jamaica visiting schools involved with Great Shape! Inc. She also had the honor of attending the Sandals Foundation Party along with the Jamaican Prime Minister and other Business Leaders. “It’s so exciting to be in partnership with the Sandals Foundation, they intend to grow which means all good things for the Caribbean.” said Kate.

On Monday Kate visited Breadnut Hill Primary School, one of the schools SuperKids worked with last year. Miss Gowie, the principal, was so excited to see her and toured her through all the classrooms. The children called out, ‘Miss Kate, Miss Kate!’ “They remembered my name and crowded around to give me hugs. I was pretty touched.”

The children of Jamaica and Great Shape! are so grateful for our volunteers. We couldn’t be successful without you. Miss Gowie says she’s really looking forward to our volunteers’ return this fall!
