Welcome to the team, Britney!

May 13, 2013greatshapeinc1000 Smiles, Gonzaga University, Great Shape Inc, Intern, interns, Let It Shine, one love, www.gsjamaica.org

Hey y’all!

This is Britney Magleby, writing my first blog post as an intern for Great Shape and Let It Shine Media.

I’m a junior at Gonzaga University where I study Public Relations and Spanish.  Originally I’m from Idaho Falls, ID, but I now call Knoxville, TN my home (hence the “y’all”.)  I like to think I’m a fun and outgoing friend, and I make the best grilled-cheese sandwiches in the Northwest.  The more I get into my studies, the more obsessed I become with the world of public relations and promotions.  I’ve found that through these avenues, I can use my creativity to make people feel excited, become dedicated to something larger, and feel a sense of community they may not have experienced before.  I’ve already fallen in love with Let It Shine and Great Shape because they truly promote each of these steps through their work.

I can’t wait for the joy, stress, fear and excitement that will ensue throughout this summer internship.  My only hope is that I learn from all my successes and failures during this journey.  Keep an eye out for many more of my blog posts to come!  I might share that grilled cheese recipe.
