Superstar volunteers and supporters, Tracy & Walt Mason, hosted Great Shape! Inc.’s first ever Charity Golf Tournament back on May 6th in Casa Grande, AZ.
BIG UP to the Masons who raised approx. $10K!
The event was a great success with many in Tracy and Walt’s community sponsoring the event either by sponsoring golfers, tees, or holes. In addition, the Masons were able to obtain donations of prizes and big award baskets.
This is not the first time the Masons have gone above and beyond to support and sustain Great Shape! Inc. Every year they gather tons of school supplies from their community to donate to SuperKids and just last year they sponsored a brand new shipping container for SuperKids.
This year they decided to host the tournament when they heard about some unexpected shipping and storage costs for the SuperKids project from Georgene Crowe aka Mama G, Co-Founder of Great Shape! Inc./Co-Director of SuperKids and Teach the Teachers.
Tracy Mason, said, “I had put on numerous golf tournaments before, so why not.”
“I think our favorite part about hosting the tournament was getting everyone together again! Also, raising money for a great cause!”
The golf tournament brought together many Great Shape! ‘ers, SuperKids volunteers, and supporters with Tracy and Walt’s wonderful and supportive community in Casa Grande. According to Mama G, Tracy has recruited at least 25 volunteers from her area as well!
Attendees of honor included: Mama G, Co-Founder of Great Shape! Inc.; Dr. Harvey Arnce, Board Member and Longtime 1000 Smiles Dental Volunteer; Lucinda Kay, Communications Director and Biggie and Likkle all the way there from Jamaica!

Rick and Penny Chiado, longtime volunteers, even drove all the way from Brentwood, CA to join in the fun! Rick is the Curriculum Manager for SuperKids and Penny longtime leadership.
Fun was had by all, and the event was such a hit that the golf course has already been reserved for next year! Tracy said, “Everyone from last year asked if we were doing it again and promised to come!”
