National flower, national flag, national politics—national bird?

The doctor bird, or swallow tail hummingbird, only lives in Jamaica, so of course it also holds the title of Jamaica’s national bird.

It also carries a tradition of superstition, appearing in Jamaican folklore and songs as possessing magical powers.

A magical bird is way cooler than a flag.
