Due to an increase in operating expenses and higher demand, the fees for this project have been marginally increased.

2025 COST TO PARTICIPATE

To participate, each volunteer must pay: 

  1. A project fee to Great Shape! Inc. and
  2. Their own airfare
  3. There may be some incidental expenses for a few supplies
  4. Excursions, souvenirs and other optional activities are paid by volunteers.

Note: “Room & Board” (accommodations and food), airport and clinic site transfers are provided free of cost, donated by our premier partner/sponsor: Sandals Foundation. Yay Sandals!  This donation means volunteer costs are virtually cut in half!

2025 Project Fees*

  • Dentists:  $1150
  • Hygienists: $1000
  • Dental Students: $1050
  • Hygiene Students: $950
  • All Others: $975

ALL Students Who Are Part of an Official Student Group Partnership Receive A $25 Discount

Credit Card Transaction Fees Not Included (1.99% added for CC/3.49% added for CAD CC). Pay by check to incur no CC transaction fee.

Most dental clinic supplies are provided with a few exceptions such as gloves, hand sanitizer, headlight, and any supplies/instruments of personal choice.  All are encouraged, but not required to bring toothbrushes.

What Do My Project Fees Pay For?

Project Fees go to Great Shape! Inc., a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization, and therefore are tax deductible as a donation.  The project fees are used to pay for ALL GS! organization expenses that are necessary to make our programs happen.  This includes staffing, shipping, supplies, equipment, etc.  The list is very long!
